Tyler Dewey recently joined the University faculty as Coach of the Livestock Judging Team. Outside of his coaching duties Tyler teaches the live animal evaluation classes and is pursuing his M.S. degree in Animal Science. His research interests are in beef cattle reproduction, specifically embryo transfer, synchronization, and superovulation.

Tyler has always been interested in Animal Science. He grew up in Oklahoma on a small beef cattle, quarter horse, and poultry farm.  Tyler was very active in showing sheep and cattle through the FFA.  He attended Eastern Oklahoma State College and was an All-American member of a very successful livestock judging team. Tyler continued his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M-Commerce where he was a member of the judging team and received numerous awards and honors. He began pursuing his M.S. degree at The University of Arkansas in the field of genetics, and was assistant livestock coach at Arkansas prior to coming to Arizona.
