My research is directed towards understanding mechanisms of satellite cell
activation, a necessary step for increases in skeletal muscle mass.
It is important to understand the regulation of satellite cell activation
for the development of treatments for skeletal muscle diseases,
including sarcopenia, muscular dystrophy, and cachexia.
